He was a furniture designer, born in Budapest. After the revolution of 1956, Ghyczy left to West Germany, where he studied architecture at the University of Aachen. He worked for Reuter, where he was head of the design department. His most famous design is the ‘Garden Egg’ chair.
This ‘Spring’ chair is one of his most innovative works, produced by Fehlbaum in 1971. The chair is included in the Vitra museum
