Lucien De Roeck (Dendermonde, 1915 - Ixelles, 2002) was a Belgian graphic designer and poster designer. De Roeck is mainly known for the logo he designed for Expo 58. In 1954, four years in advance, De Roeck started designing the poster and logo for Expo 58. He later illustrated for the weekly magazine Tintin. He was a student of Pierre Alechinsky and Jean-Michel Folon.
This is a rare collector's item, specially designed for the World EXPO 58 in Brussels. This is a table designed by Lucien De Roeck and made by Bois Manu Belgium. The top and the original legs are made of wood. The legs can be removed and slid under the table. This souvenir could then be used as a picnic table during the tour.
Marked at the bottom with 'created by Bois Manu, made in Belgium'.
